Company History
Cahill Inspections Services, Inc. was founded in 1987 by John
Cahill. The company has provided residential real estate inspection services to home
buyers and sellers throughout the north Texas area.
Company Objective
Cahill Inspections Services, Inc. mission is to meet
the needs of its clients while promoting excellence and exemplary practice within the
profession of real estate inspection.

Jim Bennett
John Cahill has been
active in the home inspection industry since 1987. Prior to 1987, John spent 13 years in a
manufacturing engineering / quality assurance environment with a large international oil
company. Mr. Cahill has participated actively in the home inspection industry as an
instructor, inspector and leader. Some of Mr. Cahill's accomplishments are as
follows.
Licensed Professional Real Estate
Inspector since 1987, Texas Real Estate Commission. License number 855.
Licensed Certified Applicator since 1987,
Texas Structural Pest Control Board.
License number CA30270.
Has performed more than 6,000 inspections.
Past President / COO of a national home inspection firm that served
500 mortgage branches with 800 inspectors.
Appointed to a six
year term on the Inspector Advisory Committee at the State of Texas Real
Estate Commission (TREC).

at MetroTex Board of Realtors (Dallas board)
Owned Cahill Inspection Services School.
This school and Mr. Cahill were approved by the State of Texas to
instruct Realtors and Inspectors in property condition related
matters. The school is reorganizing to integrate with coaching and on
line webinars.
Past President Elect of the Texas Association of Real Estate Inspectors
(TAREI). John was in the first group
of 20 to hold the prestigious Certified Professional Inspector (CPI)
designation in Texas.
Developed 1st written standards of Practice in Texas which was used as
a cornerstone in the development of TAREI standards.
Member of the
nationally recognized and largest inspector association. The National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI)
Member of the American Society of Home
Inspectors (ASHI)
Served on the ASHI Ethics committee that created restrictions on
preferred provider marketing.

Former
2003 International
Residential Code IRC 1 & 2 Family Certified Inspector.
Pioneered electronic forms processing in the late 1980's.

Jim Bennett has been
performing inspections since 1999 and in that time has worked on more
than 2,000 homes. Jim is a licensed Professional Home Inspector with
the Texas Real Estate Commission and a Certified Applicator with the
Texas Structural Pest Control Board. Jim's prior history was in
manufacturing engineering and quality assurance with a large oil tool
manufacturing company. In his service to this country, Jims enlistment with the Air Force
included world famous Navy Seabee construction training
at Port Hueneme. Jim is known
for his attention to detail and his friendly east Texas accent.
